The project team is led by the project coordinator, Mr. Dascal Emilian, an exceptional viola player from Romania, founder of the chamber orchestra “The European Strings,” professor at the Academy of Music St. Gallen Switzerland, lecturer/honorary fellow and head of the strings department at the University of Chichester UK and founder of the renowned Strings Trio,
Emilian Dascal began his music studies at the age of five in his hometown of Bucharest. In 1983, at the age of 23, he began his professional career as principal violist of the Senftenberg Symphony Orchestra in Germany. In 1987, he received his solo viola diploma at the Lucerne Conservatory under the tutelage of Professors Gunars Larsen and Rudolf Baumgartner. Shortly thereafter, he toured the Far East and Europe as member of the Lucerne Chamber Orchestra “Festival Strings Lucerne."
